In the words of our favorite little cloud surfer: "WAAA-HOOOO!!" TaleSpin Volume 2 on DVD is due to be released on November 13th, 2007! 3 months to go guys!
The set follows the same format as the first - 3 slim DVD's with 9 episodes on each (27 in all). No 'official' word on which episodes are on it yet, but (judging by the first volume DVDs) they're running in airing order, so episodes 28 - 54 (as on my episode list page) should be the ones on volume 2. Yaaaay!

Also worth noting is that, on the same day, Ducktales Volume 3 is also being released!

If you haven't already, either get your behind to a store or take a visit to amazon or ebay - the TaleSpin and Darkwing Duck DVD's (as of last Tuesday, 29th August) have been released!

The DVD's contain the 4 part pilot - sorry folks, it is infact the syndicated version. However, a few of the parts that were cut and/or edited for Toon Disney are included on the set. Big edits, like Rebecca's song in Plunser and Lightning, however, aren't there :( Also on the DVD's are the next 23 episodes in the series (check the 'episode list' page under the 'TV' menu to see the episodes included on the set. It's all listed from 1 to 27.

Sadly, no extras appear on the set. But, heck, at least it has finally been released! Hopefully TaleSpin and Darkwing Duck will follow the same pattern as DuckTales and Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers (both of which have volume 2 of their DVD's beging released in November this year) and there will be more to come ^-^

Oh happy days... It's official - TaleSpin on DVD, volume 1, is being released on 29th August, 2006!! (3 1/2 months to go!) The set format is similar to that of the DuckTales and Chip 'n' Dale's Rescue Rangers DVD's released last year, in that it contain 27 episodes on 3 discs. And - wait for it - the TaleSpin set is going to contain the pilot episodes. That's right - 'Plunder and Lightning' is included on this set! Now let's just hope its unedited :)

And, just to add to this wunderful news, Darkwing Duck is also being released on DVD the same day! Again, with the 2 part pilot episode and 25 other episodes (27 total).

Unfortunatly, no extras will be included on either of these sets. Ah well. Guess we can't have everything :)

It looks like the dream of all TaleSpin fans is about to come true!! TaleSpin on DVD is due to hit the shelves late August this year! For the full (but quite short) story, check out this link below.

Let's how it follows the same design as the DuckTales and Rescue Rangers DVD's and not of the Goof Troop and Quack Pack DVD's... A 3 disc box set with 27 episodes as opposed to a single, 3 episode DVD!

Also due to be released the same time (late August) isssss Darkwing Duck on DVD!

Ahhh, fianlly :) I'm so happy!

There is no box art or other information avaliable as yet, but keep watching this space - I'll post anything as soon as I hear it ^-^

Again, not specifically TaleSpin news, but more Disney Afternoon cartoons are being released to DVD! Volume 1 for both Goof Troop and Quack Pack are due to be released on February 14th, 2006. Each volume contains three episodes from each series.
Surely TaleSpin's gotta be next :)

STOP PRESS! Ok, so this isn't exactly TaleSpin news, but it's definatly a ray of hope for those us who want TaleSpin released on DVD - On 11th August, 2005, it was announced that episodes from both 'DuckTales' and 'Chip 'n' Dale's Rescue Rangers' will be released on DVD on 8th November 2005! Each set is entitled 'Volume 1' and contains 27 episodes from the series. Considering the running scheduel of the 'Disney Afternoon' (Gummi Bears - DuckTales - Chip 'n' Dale - TaleSpin) we'd hopefully assume that 'TaleSpin' is next to be released! Although they did miss out the Gummi Bears... Hopefully that'll eventually get released too. But, hey, it's a start!
