A professor by the name of Martin Torque has invented a robitic pilot, known as the 'Auto Aviator'. He boasts that his new invention is the ultimate pilot - the future of aviation. He pitches the idea to Shere Khan, who is mildly interested, but is unconvinced that this robot can handle all situations. He suggests a test, putting the Auto Aviator against a real pilot. If successful, Khan will agree to purchase a thousand of Torque's robotic pilots.
So, Torque challanges Baloo to a race, the winner earning the title of the greatest pilot. The race involves a flight to Tundra city and back, total flight time being around 40 hours. Baloo, falling asleep at the contros, loses the race, and Khan signs the agreement with Torque. The robotic pilots take over the skies, putting the real pilots out of work.
Meanwhile, Karnage hears of these new robotic pilots and is quite intrigued...
Professor Martin Torque and Shere Khan are flying in a plane piloted by an Auto Aviator, toasting to the success of the robits, when Karnage and the pirates surround their plane announce that they will soon be attacking. Torque tells the Auto Aviator to change course and evade the pirates. The Auto Aviator responds - "Deviation from flight plane is unacceptable". Khan is less than amused, and calls for help on the radio. Baloo hears and answers the call, climbs aboard Khan's plane and takes over the controls. A few fancy flight manuvers later and the pirates are long gone.
Convinced that a robot can't do a real pilots job, Khan cancels his deal with Torque, and the real pilots are able to return to work.
